Kiel Giddens: I will stand up for hard working British Columbians, and push for a labour relations system that makes sense for workers and employers
Yesterday I took on the role of Shadow Minister for Labour in BC’s Official Opposition. I will stand up for hard working British Columbians, and push for a labour relations system that makes sense for workers and employers.
The NDP used to claim to be a workers’ party. No more. Under David Eby we’re seeing the NDP abandon workers with no credible private sector jobs plan to speak of. They are shutting down private sector job creation in favour of special interest groups and NDP activists.
All workers deserve to be safe in the workplace. Under Eby’s NDP we’ve seen crime and rampant drug use proliferate on our streets, and even in our hospitals. The NDP have abandoned workers’ safety for nurses, firefighters, paramedics, police and first responders
It’s time to end the NDP process of picking favourites in public construction projects with their so-called “Community Benefit Agreements” that don’t actually benefit communities, and have caused sky-rocketing construction costs that are ripping off taxpayers
Our Conservative Party of BC Caucus stands with those who pull up their bootstraps and get the job done for all of us.
We stand with shift workers facing job insecurity and need hope.
We stand with the construction sector building our homes, hospitals and infrastructure.
Let’s fight for BC together.
