CHRISTY CLARK ... stranger to the truth ... nose stretcher ... fanciful fabrication



Today, Wednesday March 8, is International Women's Day, and according to the website  International Women's Day is all about unity, celebration, reflection, advocacy and action ... we're asking you to #BeBoldForChange ... help forge a better working world ...



Some, however, would have to question how some women are helping to forge a better world. 



Never mind the follies and foibles of Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne back east ... or even Rachel Notley right next door in Alberta.  What kind of role model would most think BC Premier Christy Clark is for young women aspiring to consider a role, helping to shape policy and legislation, by becoming elected officials?

Just for interest sake, this morning, I did a Google news search under Christy Clark.  Of the top 10 listings, the following four (in order) were definitely negative ... a couple severely so.  Going further down the list also came up with more and more stories, and features, which did not put the Premier in a positive light.

There’s this ridiculous November Clark nose stretcher ... The Premier’s Office was left to do damage control, with little success ... No fantasy? How about fanciful fabrication? Or complete #FAIL? ...






The International Women's Day organization asks ... What if the world truly stepped up to take bold action?  Will you #BeBoldForChange on International Women's Day 2017 and beyond by taking groundbreaking action that truly drives the greatest change for women.




Christy Clark and her BC Liberal government talk the talk about taking bold action ... their actions however, certainly don't match the talk.

One arrested at OneBC event at UVic that draws protesters (Times Colonist)

A would-be speaker was arrested under the Trespass Act after she arrived at the University of Victoria on Tuesday for an event intended to shed light on what the OneBC political party refers to as the “reconciliation industry.”  An officer at the scene initially said two people were arrested, after protesters scuffled with those trying to hold the unsanctioned event. Saanich police issued a statement later Tuesday saying only one person was arrested.  Police did not name the person who was arrested, but OneBC leader Dallas Brodie said it was Frances Widdowson, who was later released ... Conservative Opposition Leader John Rustad says Premier David Eby has been caught misleading the public after court records confirmed the government never filed the stay of the Cowichan ruling the NDP repeatedly promised. “For four months, the Premier said the stay was being sought, the Attorney General claimed the application was underway, and the government told British Columbians that action was coming. The court record shows they did nothing,” said Rustad. “Not one stay, not one application, not one motion. They made promises to homeowners while the registry sat empty.” Premier Eby first promised on August 11, 2025, that a stay would be filed, then again in October, and twice in Question Period when pressured by the opposition. A review of court documents on Friday revealed that no stay has been filed.
