FORSETH – Trudeau is ashamed of our rich resources; extracted by Canada’s hard-working blue collar workers ... but he’s not ashamed to grovel for a temporary seat at the United Nations Security Council
|Canada's Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau|
I wondered what Prime Minister Trudeau could possibly have to say, to those attending the convention, that would give them any sense of confidence about the future for mining in Canada.
In fact, I actually stated online, “It will be NOTHING ... just useless and meaningless words is all that will come out of Trudeau's mouth”
Well I wasn’t disappointed -- well no, in actual fact I was disappointed (but not surprised) -- that at least in my opinion he really didn’t have much that would give those involved in Canada’s resource industry much hope.
Here is what Trudeau had to say:
“We are supporting businesses that are making investments today to help protect our environment for future generations. By making it more affordable for Canadian businesses to make the switch to zero-emission technologies, we can help accelerate our transition to a low-carbon, clean-growth economy and create good middle-class jobs.” ~~ Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada
Not to be left out, Seamus O’Regan, the Minister of Natural Resources stated ~~ “Our government believes in the power of clean technology to create jobs and drive innovation. With today’s announcement, we are proud to continue helping Canadian industry seize the momentum of this clean growth century, so that Canadians can benefit from this fast-growing market now and in the future.”
I could be wrong, but I think that the resource / mining industry would be a lot happier if there was so way to shorten the time period that it takes to get approvals in place for development to begin ...
... that they could get work started without the fear of individuals trying to shut down their projects ...
... and that industry could be respected for real and effective measure they are taking to be the most environmentally conscious companies in the world.
Yesterday, an individual remarked to me that ... a growing number of companies are already taking the initiative on climate change ... and that ... there is already pressure from the market itself, and no real need for such overbearing government intervention. They also stated ... the best way to attract investment is to leave business to businesses.
Unfortunately, that's something that won't happen anytime soon.
It won’t happen anytime soon because our current federal minority government is interventionist in nature – and so they do not realize and understand that the best way to create a strong economy is to get the hell out of the way.
This government also fails to proudly tell the world that through innovation being developed – and already being used -- Canada is helping countries all around the world have greener economies.
Trudeau is ashamed of the rich resources our country has been blessed with; extracted by Canada’s hard-working blue-collar workers ...
... sadly however, he is not ashamed to grovel for a temporary seat at the United Nations (lack of) Security Council.
Let me ask you ... "Which DO YOU think we should be proud of ... and which DO YOU think we should be ashamed of?"
