AARON GUNN -- The empty podium Thursday night said more about Justin Trudeau’s leadership as Prime Minister, than words ever could
Green Party Leader pointing to Justin Trudeau's empty podium |
Thursday night was the
first Leaders debate of the federal election and it went, for the most part, as
one would expect.
With one glaring
exception ...
Justin Trudeau didn’t even bother to show up. His podium, left hilariously
unoccupied for all to see.
How embarrassing is it
to have a Prime Minister who’s too afraid to defend his own record? But on the other hand, for Trudeau, it might
make a lot of sense.
Think about it ...
If
you had Trudeau’s record over the last four years, would you really want to go
on national TV and defend it?
Four straight deficit
budgets ... tax hikes ... embarrassing Canada on the international stage ...
and now, the SNC-Lavalin scandal.
In fact ... skipping the
debate might be the smartest thing Trudeau has ever done.
Regardless, the empty
podium Thursday night said more about Justin Trudeau’s leadership as Prime
Minister, than words ever could.
And quite frankly, Canadians
deserve better than this.
