“I am a Canadian, free to speak without fear, free to worship in my own way, free to stand for what I think right, free to oppose what I believe wrong, or free to choose those who shall govern my country. This heritage of freedom I pledge to uphold for myself and all mankind.” ~~ John G. Diefenbaker

FORSETH – What the hell happened with Jas Johal last night?

In what can only be described as a series of questionable, and incendiary, comments last night, former radio personality, former BC Liberal MLA, and now again radio personally, Jas Johal post 25 Tweets slamming 6 BC Liberal leadership candidates for having concerns around a large number of problematic memberships. Just in case they ended up being taken down, I copied all of them, and present them here unedited, and in the order he posted them: Referencing a January 7 th article in Business in Vancouver Johal stated: “ What stupidity is this BC Liberals?” It amazes me when South Asians sign up as members there always seems to be a problem for BC Liberals? When Justin Trudeau signed up South Asians for his leadership run, did you hear any carping? When Jagmeet Singh signed up members in Brampton and Surrey, did New Democrats lose their minds? When Erin O’Toole signed up members in the South Asian community, even a bunch of Conservatives didn’t flip out. When the BC NDP sign ...

Change That Can Win is within reach, if we all do our part!

I have been encouraging you, and many other friends and family, to look into an individual whom I believe would make a great leader, and Premier of BC -- that individual is Ellis Ross Here's the thing though -- to be able to vote for him, you need to be a party member. As of right now (Thurs Dec 16th), there are now less than 30 hours to do that ( deadline is tomorrow, Friday Dec 17th, at 5pm ). I would respectfully ask that you consider taking a moment to become a member of what is "currently" being called the BC Liberal Party, so that you can cast a ballot for change -- fundamental change -- where all feel welcome no matter where they live in this province, and where they will have a choice in decision making. Ellis Ross knows we need more voices at the table – not BC Liberal Party insiders, but more everyday members who know their communities. As BC Liberal leader, he will renew our party by listening to grassroots members, not the same old group of party elites. E...
