To be honest, we’re still recovering just a little from Toronto’s heartbreaking loss in the World Series. However, it didn’t stop us from talking about that cringey Carney apology, nor the latest apparently anti-democratic invocation of the clause in our Charter that was explicitly created to preserve, um, democratic supremacy. Anyway, here we go again… Well, we at The Line don’t want spoil imminent columns, but this was the week in which at least one of your editors thought to herself that Donald Trump is going to eat Mark Carney alive. This week, the Prime Minister apologized to the U.S. President for something this country should never have to apologize for — defending its own interests in the mildest and most respectful terms possible ...
