THE TYEE: Did BC Need to End Letter Grades on Report Cards?

The Tyee dives into the debate about whether the new model is a necessity or a nuisance.   For many B.C. families with kids in kindergarten to Grade 9, report cards will look different this year. Instead of using letter grades or percentages, report cards will use a new four-point Provincial Proficiency Scale to convey what students know and where they still struggle.
