Just yesterday, I wrote a post in which I began by asking ... DO WE CONTINUE THE TREND WE ARE ON, with government strongly encouraging people to self-isolate, and to maintain two metre spacing when we are out getting what should be considered ‘necessities’ – or should we open things up to allow for businesses (including bars) to perhaps re-open, but with strict guidelines as to social distancing ? I asked this in light of many people beginning to question whether we are on the right path (using Sweden as the example of a country handling things differently), with the level of self-isolation being asked of us by BC’s Health Minister Adrian Dix and Medical Officer Bonnie Owen, as well as by the federal government. Earlier this morning on the blog, I posted an op / ed piece from John Feldsted entitled, “ We have lost the diversity of media opinion through consolidation, and the concentration of media reporters, to a few multiple media outlets ” It got me thinking … Me in the studios of CKWL in Williams Lake (early 70s) As someone who began a 25+ year career in radio, beginning at the age of 15 working part-time while still in High School, I can personally attest to what a dismal failure the buying up of media has been – at least in the case of radio. In EVERY instance of a larger company, buying up a smaller local community station, staff were let go, automation increased, and news became more and more a centralized creation – eliminating or reducing differences of opinion and thought. I know from personal experience that you can tell when a station is automated --- all you have to do is listen for time checks (you don’t hear them when automated) ... the weath...

On October 2nd, I wrote a post entitled, " Where will those votes go? Most likely to the BC Liberals, while those individuals hold their noses to place their"X" on a ballot " I started off by saying: On September 27th, an online petition suddenly appeared on iPetitions.com. Individuals were asked to sign for the following reason: QUOTE: "Complaint against Dan Brooks for deliberate violation of party constitution" (please join me in supporting this worthwhile cause) It lasted for three days, and then was taken down. What's interesting, and no longer available to be seen, was the comment that Dan Brooks had illegally used the membership list in his quest to regain the leadership of the BC Conservative Party, and some questions as to interference in the website of a fellow leadership candidate.
