We are seeing much less of Justin Trudeau; as a matter of fact, much less of our federal government; it seems that the government is unsure of itself, in sharp contrast to the 2015 version. The PMO-centric government continues but is now more focused on risk aversion. The shifting authority to Ministers is a sham; no minister dares to take an initiative that could put the government in trouble. Opting for safety is stifling. You can’t get run over by a bus if you don’t leave home, but you can’t accomplish much either. Behind the scenes, this government has a mittful of serious problems.
