Our decision, on the possibility of reforming how we vote in BC, is going to require a lot of thought (at least it should in my opinion)

British Columbia is having a referendum on what voting system we should use for provincial elections. The referendum is being held by mail in the fall of 2018 under the provisions of the Electoral Reform Referendum 2018 Act and the regulations surrounding the referendum. http://www.bclaws.ca/civix/document/id/crbc/crbc/125_2018 Sadly, my previous request for opinions on how we might be impacted by the choices we make, generated an underwhelming response.   I don’t give up though, so I will try again. I am hoping to have what will likely be a multi-part post, on my blog, regarding Proportional Representation (PR) and the up-coming mail in vote this Fall.   The mail in vote of course is whether or not we choose one of three forms of PR … or maintain our long-standing First Past the Post (FPP) method of voting.
