Conservatives Will End Portable Trailer Classrooms and Eliminate Extended Hours in Schools

To end education in portable trailers and eliminate extended hours in BC, The Conservative Party of British Columbia will enable Surrey, and other school districts, to increase the number of students in all K-12 classrooms, with the strict condition that school districts must maintain or increase the student-to-teacher ratio in schools. “For 32 years, the NDP and the BCU-Liberals have treated people in Surrey and the Fraser Valley like second-class British Columbians. It’s wrong, and it’s going to end here,” says Conservative Party of British Columbia leader, MLA John Rustad. Recent Canadian research has indicated that Canadian students in portable trailors may score lower on tests, when compared to students learning in permanent classrooms.
