CHRISTY CLARK ... stranger to the truth ... nose stretcher ... fanciful fabrication



Today, Wednesday March 8, is International Women's Day, and according to the website  International Women's Day is all about unity, celebration, reflection, advocacy and action ... we're asking you to #BeBoldForChange ... help forge a better working world ...



Some, however, would have to question how some women are helping to forge a better world. 



Never mind the follies and foibles of Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne back east ... or even Rachel Notley right next door in Alberta.  What kind of role model would most think BC Premier Christy Clark is for young women aspiring to consider a role, helping to shape policy and legislation, by becoming elected officials?

Just for interest sake, this morning, I did a Google news search under Christy Clark.  Of the top 10 listings, the following four (in order) were definitely negative ... a couple severely so.  Going further down the list also came up with more and more stories, and features, which did not put the Premier in a positive light.

... there are many other recent examples where the premier was “a stranger to the truth,” to be politely parliamentary ... Can you believe Christy Clark’s claims? You judge ... There’s this ridiculous November Clark nose stretcher ... The Premier’s Office was left to do damage control, with little success ... No fantasy? How about fanciful fabrication? Or complete #FAIL? ...






The International Women's Day organization asks ... What if the world truly stepped up to take bold action?  Will you #BeBoldForChange on International Women's Day 2017 and beyond by taking groundbreaking action that truly drives the greatest change for women.




Christy Clark and her BC Liberal government talk the talk about taking bold action ... their actions however, certainly don't match the talk.

A message from BC Conservative MLA Ward Stamer, and the Kamloops – North Thompson Riding Association

2025 was a busy first year. As a Caucus, we worked very hard to defeat Bills 14 and 15, legislation which allows the provincial government to move ahead without environmental assessments on renewable projects, and that also allows cabinet to build infrastructure projects without getting approval from local municipal governments. This is not acceptable to your BC Conservative caucus, and we will continue to press this government for open and transparent projects in the future.  Two things we had success in were having the first Private Members bill passed in over 40 years. The first was Jody Toors Prenatal and Post Natal Care bill, and then there was my private members Bill M217 Mandatory Dashcams in commercial vehicles (passed second reading unanimously and is heading to Committee in February). Claims that BC is making progress salvaging wildfire-damaged timber are masking deeper problems in the forest sector, the province’s forestry critic says. Last week, BC’s Ministry of Forests said mills in the province processed more than one million cubic metres of wildfire chips in 2024-25, up from 500,000 cubic metres in 2023 and representing about seven per cent of all processed wood.
