“I am a Canadian, free to speak without fear, free to worship in my own way, free to stand for what I think right, free to oppose what I believe wrong, or free to choose those who shall govern my country. This heritage of freedom I pledge to uphold for myself and all mankind.” ~~ John G. Diefenbaker

FORSETH -- Given the noted infractions of this agreement with OneBC leader Dallas Brodie, I request the Party immediate suspend the leadership campaign of Yuri Fulmer

I have personally emailed the following to the Board and Administration of the Conservative Party of BC:

TODAY (03/30) Yuri Fulmer, a candidate for the leadership of the Conservative Party of BC, made a pact with ONEBC leader Dallas Broldie, that if he is elected will commit the Conservative Party to the following.

Specifically, the pact states:

This Memorandum of Understanding outlines the definitive electoral and governing alliance that will be executed upon Yuri Fulmer’s election as Leader of the Conservative Party of British Columbia

OneBC Party commits to not nominating or authorizing candidates in 88 of British Columbia’s 93 electoral districts. In exchange, the Conservative Party of BC, under the leadership of Yuri Fulmer, commits to not nominating or authorizing candidates in five (5) specific electoral districts. OneBC will be the sole standard-bearer for the right in those five districts. The specific ridings will be determined through mutual negotiation and finalized immediately following the Conservative leadership election
.

The Memorandum represents a personal commitment between Yuri Fulmer and Dallas Brodie to unite the right. Both leaders commit to publicly advocating for this framework. Upon Yuri Fulmer’s successful election as Leader of the Conservative Party of BC, he will immediately utilize his mandate to formally ratify this pact as the official electoral strategy of the Party
.

THIS AGREEMENT is in direct contravention of several areas of the Constitution and Bylaws (2025), as noted:

Section 2.08
Any member who joins, or publicly supports another provincial party, or publicly campaigns against an officially nominated Conservative Party of BC candidate for the Members of the Legislative Assembly, will immediately forfeit membership

2.13
Each Member of the Party, including candidates for, and holders of Party and/or public office, is hereby deemed to have covenanted that: “I will abide, accept and abide by the Constitution, Principles, Policies, Bylaws, and Code of Conduct of the Conservative Party of BC.” Any breach of this covenant is a violation of the Party Constitution and Bylaws

4.03 The President shall:
(d) Coordinate the conduct of election campaigns with the Election Readiness Committee

6.03 The Election Readiness Committee:
(b) will set the dates, location, notice requirements, voting methods and other procedures for Candidate selection meetings …

ARTICLE 2 – ETHICAL PRINCIPLES:

2.01 The Party and its Members subscribe to the following general ethical principles and agree to abide by them in their individual and collective actions with one another and the citizens in general when acting on behalf of the Party or otherwise acting in any manner associated with the Party.

Namely:
(a) Act at all times honestly, in good faith, and in a manner which will enhance the image of and be in the best interests of the Party or otherwise when acting in any manner associated with the Party

(d) All Members must work towards mutually beneficial partnerships and work collaboratively with one another with the object of building the Party and providing good governance to all citizens of the Province

ARTICLE 3 – OVERALL BEHAVIORS, GOOD CONDUCT AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF MEMBERS

3.01 It is acknowledged that the Party is a “political’ entity involved in the legal and democratic process of seeking to serve the people of British Columbia in the fields of public government and administration. Also, it is recognized that such a democratic process often involves intense competition between individuals, concepts, ideals, principles, and many other issues. Therefore, it is understood by the Conservative Party of BC that every Member should do all possible to protect and enhance the reputation of the Party in the public domain and to build unity in the Party

(b) refrain from making or posting any statements on “public domains” entities (such as social media, or other internal sites) that openly and publicly  criticize or denigrate and/or demean the Party, the Party leadership, individual Party Members, the Party Principles, policies, entities, structures and/or  associated bodies of the Party or discuss in a public, personal, vindictive and/or derogatory manner the merits and/or demerits of decisions relating to internal Party business and administration

Given the noted infractions of this agreement with OneBC leader Dallas Brodie, I request the Party immediately suspend the leadership campaign of Yuri Fulmer.

Interfor Moves Headquarters Out of BC as Forestry Crisis Continues

NDP policies are driving businesses out of B.C., and the forestry industry just suffered yet another calamity. Interfor, a BC company founded more than 60 years ago and now one of the world's largest lumber producers, is moving its headquarters from Burnaby, BC to Atlanta, Georgia. As BC’s forestry sector faces mill closures and mounting uncertainty, this move is another warning sign that the crisis is deepening and conditions are fatal. “This is the NDP’s record: endless job losses with no hope in sight for the forestry sector,” said Ward Stamer, Shadow Minister for Forestry. “Interfor still has three mills in BC which are now in serious jeopardy, and it is likely we will see even more companies pull out of BC. The NDP government is suffocating the forestry industry with high taxes, excessive regulations, and permitting delays, while DRIPA has made it impossible to plan for the future.” “Decisions like this are sadly not surprising given the NDP’s indifference if not hostility tow...

Okanagan Farmers Face NDP-Created Water Crisis ~~ BC Conservatives

Okanagan farmers are facing a water crisis as government-imposed restrictions threaten to kill their crops and destroy one of B.C.’s most important agricultural industries. In perhaps the most water-rich province in the country, our farmers have been left high and dry by the NDP government. For nine weeks, Okanagan and Shuswap farmers have proposed solutions, only to be met with NDP foot-dragging. Now forest fires have come to these regions as they are simultaneously reckoning with a water crisis that has been made worse through years of government inaction. Vernon-area farms have lost 70 percent of their water, while Kelowna and Summerland growers face severe restrictions. This situation is unacceptable and cannot continue. Ian Paton, Shadow Minister for Agriculture, said the NDP is once again forcing farmers to pay for its own failure to plan. "Farmers and ranchers must be listened to when decisions affecting their livelihoods are made, and under the NDP, they aren’t," said...

NDP Hypocritically Admits Natural Gas Power Was Needed All Along ~~ BC Conservatives

The NDP just got caught buying back the exact kind of power plant it spent years telling British Columbians they didn't need. The NDP government announced today that BC Hydro is purchasing the Island Generation natural gas facility in Campbell River, an admission that its electrification-only energy policy was never realistic. The 275-megawatt plant was originally privately owned yet kept to a minimal backup role under the NDP, operating just 15 days a year on average. Now, with demand outpacing what the NDP's plan can support, the government is spending taxpayer funds on the very gas capacity it once treated as obsolete. "You cannot electrify everything and pretend natural gas doesn't matter," said Larry Neufeld, Shadow Minister for Energy.  "Buying back a gas plant they once wrote off is proof their own plan couldn't keep the lights on. It's a step towards more energy reality, but the government needs to go further and scrap the impending province-w...
