LILLEY: B.C.'s overdose deaths keeps climbing, Toronto can't follow

 On Jan. 31, 2023, the federal government gave a drug exemption to the entire province of British Columbia. Simple possession of hard drugs was no longer a criminal matter, it was a public health issue and would be dealt with as such.

 

 Mostly, that appears to mean watching people die of drug overdoses because the drug overdose death rate in B.C. isn’t going down in 2023, it’s increasing.

 

 Toronto is currently asking the federal government for permission to follow B.C.’s lead even as the facts show it’s a horrible idea ...

Okanagan Farmers Face NDP-Created Water Crisis ~~ BC Conservatives

Okanagan farmers are facing a water crisis as government-imposed restrictions threaten to kill their crops and destroy one of B.C.’s most important agricultural industries. In perhaps the most water-rich province in the country, our farmers have been left high and dry by the NDP government. NDP Hypocritically Admits Natural Gas Power Was Needed All Along ~~ BC Conservatives

The NDP just got caught buying back the exact kind of power plant it spent years telling British Columbians they didn't need. The NDP government announced today that BC Hydro is purchasing the Island Generation natural gas facility in Campbell River, an admission that its electrification-only energy policy was never realistic.
