Ignoring political correctness, climate change hysteria and telling the
truth should not be a novel concept.
No Canadian government will have the slightest effect on climate change. Whether we shut down all use of carbon-based energy sources and freeze in the dark or fully develop our energy resources, our climate will continue to change.
We can mitigate effects of climate change by not building housing and commercial buildings below recorded high water marks during previous floods and harvesting wide swaths of forest to minimize wildfire spread. Blaming climate change for bad planning and inaction is dishonest.
As the federal election approaches, the Liberal
government’s
record has become increasingly more difficult to defend.
record has become increasingly more difficult to defend.
So how does a government that can’t campaign on its record go about
gaining re-election? By building its campaign around an issue where voters
can see them as heroes fighting to save the planet against uncaring opponents.
That issue is climate change and their weapon to fight it is carbon taxation.

We have suffered 40 years of dire warnings since the first global
warming conference was held in Geneva, Switzerland in February 1979. None of
the changes have occurred on the scale predicted. Each year the warnings of
doom are more far-fetched and hysterical. Global warming is not taking place as
predicted.
The problem with IPCC global warming predictions is that they are fictitious. Global warming does not drive climate change. Global warming is a by-product of climate change. Man-made global warming is a ridiculous theory concocted to justify transferring wealth to the third world.
