Here’s a note for those
from Manitoba that read this blog ... former residents ... and those with am
interest in political campaigns Canadian provinces.
Nominations closed
yesterday at 1pm for Manitoba's 42nd provincial general election which will be
held on Tuesday September 10th.
At that time, 235 candidates were registered to run from seven different
parties, as well as a handful of independents.
Candidates names, electoral divisions, and party affiliations are listed on Elections Manitoba's website at https://www.electionsmanitoba. ca/en/Voting/Candidates/1.

- Communist Party of Canada-Manitoba: 5 candidates
- The Green Party of Manitoba (GPM): 43 candidates
- Liberal Party of Manitoba (Lib.): 57 candidates
- Manitoba First (MF): 6 candidates
- Manitoba Forward (MBFWD): 7 candidates
- New Democratic Party of Manitoba (NDP): 57 candidates
- The Progressive Conservative Party of Manitoba (PC): 57 candidates
- Independent: 3 candidates
Those wishing to vote
at advance polls can do so from Thursday,
August 29 to Thursday, September 5 (8am to 8pm Monday to Saturday and from Noon
to 6pm on Sunday)
