... what’s clear is that today’s voter mindset requires relatability, normalcy, and a simplicity in leadership.

Voters are not looking for exceptionalism, celebrity, or grand plans. They are looking for someone who they feel understands how we got into this mess (even if it’s not always factually correct or something we could have prevented) and what’s necessary to get out of it.

Voters are looking for someone who they feel gets it and gets them. In Susan Delacourt’s column for the Toronto Star out yesterday, Trudeau acknowledges that “there's a lot of people who are just rightly grumpy at the world right now.”

Our data is clear, Canadians are grumpy. Because of what’s happening around the world but also because of what’s happening within their own homes, neighbourhoods, communities, and country ...
