North Vancouver groper re-arrested weeks after being handed conditional sentence (Global)


A BC man who sexually assaulted a woman on a popular North Vancouver trail two years ago has been arrested again, and accused of breaking the conditions of his sentence.

Jairus-Paul Covacha Sacramento avoided jail time for the assault, and in December was handed a conditional sentence — the first three months of which were to be served under house arrest — along with 18 months of probation.

Tourists Rack Up $200M in Unpaid Health Bills While BC Patients Wait Years for Care

While British Columbians wait years for basic medical care, the NDP government has allowed non-residents to rack up $200.6 million in unpaid health bills since 2020-2021.
