First look at new centre that will detain drug-intoxicated people up to 72 hours (CTV)

The Manitoba government and health officials say a new facility that will detain people high on drugs for up to 72 hours will offer care and connect addicts to other services.

Media were given a tour of the new protective care centre in central Winnipeg.

Set to open by the end of the month, it houses 20 sparse concrete rooms with toilets, sinks, video surveillance, and mattresses that are not yet in place ...
