Sto:lo Nation member Áʼa꞉líya Warbus, a documentary filmmaker, Capilano University instructor and one-time hip-hop artist, readily acknowledges that of course she was criticized for running as a candidate for the BC Conservative Party.

Warbus, 40, has no trouble going against stereotypes, countering cliches and breaking down barriers.
