On the eve of the federal election, pollsters are out in force, releasing their final polls ahead of Sunday night’s cut off. From issue polling to advance vote breakdowns, data-seekers are spoiled for choice at election’s end.
Issue polling suggests Mark Carney holds a lead over Pierre Poilievre as the election comes to a close, while the two are statistically tied on who’s best to handle the cost of living.
The Angus Reid Institute asked Canadians which leader would be best to handle an array of issues facing the nation today.
Carney holds the highest lead over Poilievre on issues pertaining to the US-Canada trade war (+25), expanding trade relations beyond the US (+23), and supporting Canadian workers during the trade war (+18).
