Applications open for first cohort at BC's new medical school (Times Colonist)

Applications are now open for the first class of 48 students to begin studies next year at the new school of medicine at Simon Fraser University.

“Students, get your applications in now, you would start school in August of next year,” said BC Premier David Eby at a press conference in Surrey on Tuesday.

Students accepted into the three-year program can expect to hear if they are accepted in May or June 2026. The number of students accepted each year is expected to increase to 120 by 2035 ...
