Education minister ordered to hand over documents related to termination of Greater Victoria School Board trustees (Times Colonist)

A judge has ordered the province to hand over written records that were considered by Education Minister Lisa Beare before she decided to terminate Greater Victoria School Board trustees in January in a bid by the trustees for a review of their termination. The fired trustees have filed a petition in BCC. Supreme Court for a judicial review of the termination, which followed a dispute that stemmed from the board’s May 2023 decision to cancel the school police liaison program.
