Even sadder may be the plight of a parent with a severely ill or disabled child for whom there is no cure.

There isn;t a plan to do this. The article itself says that this is a non-starter, a notion that emerged from a doctor speculating on the ethics of what to do with a child whose condition confined them to a life time of suffering. There is no plan fo=r MAID for babies. At all. Even the doctors most concerned about this, the pro-life doctors quoted in the article, talk about this fact.
ReplyDeleteOne question I would have for C@C and others that are both pro-life and pro-market, is what role do you believe government has for supporting families who have children with conditions that cause them a life time of suffering. It's much easier to have something like "MAID for Babies" off the table if a family knows that they will receive everything they need to care for this child and that the child will be given every support for a life as free from pain as possible.
I never see those kinds of things talked about by free market supporting publications.
